COVID VACCINES - IF YOU ARE OVER 65 OR ARE SHEILDING DUE TO A CLINICAL CONDITION AND HAVE NOT HAD YOUR FIRST VACCINE PLEASE PHONE THE SURGERY. 

NHS INFORM HAS UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON THE CHANGING COVID SITUATION.

1/3/21 - ANYONE ENTERING A HEALTH CENTRE BUILDING/GP SURGERY IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A FLUID RESISTANT SURGICAL MASK UNLESS THEY ARE EXEMPT.  THESE ARE PROVIDED AT THE SURGERY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION.

WE WILL BE WELCOMING A NEW LEAD GP TO BRECHIN FROM MID MAY 2021 WHO WILL BE A PERMANENT MEMBER OF THE TEAM.  DR SHAHID COMES WITH EXPERIENCE OF ANOTHER 2C PRACTICE OUTWITH TAYSIDE AND WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO WELCOME HER.

WE CONTINUE TO WORK WITH THE 'REDISCOVER THE JOY' TEAM HOSTING VARIOUS EXPERIENCED GPS LIKE DR ROUGH, DR MACKENZIE AND DR MCKEE WHO NOT ONLY ENSURE CLINICAL COVER BUT PASS ON THEIR EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE TO OUR TEAM.

DR JACQUELINE REDDINGTON IS WITH US FROM FEBRUARY TO MAY 2021 THOUGH THE SCHEME.

WE HAVE STARTED TO USE A NEW ONLINE SYSTEM CALLED ECONSULT.  LINKS CAN BE FOUND ON OUR FRONT PAGE.  THE SYSTEM ENABLES PATIENTS TO RECEIVE HEALTH INFORMATION, ADVICE AND SIGNPOSTING. IF ONCE ASSESSED YOU REQUIRE EITHER A TELEPHONE  CONSULTATION OR FACE TO FACE CONSULTATION THIS WIL BE ARRANGED.  PLEASE BE AWARE IF A GP IS PHONING YOU BACK IT MAY NOT BE FROM A BRECHIN NUMBER.  YOU CAN ACCESS THE SYSYTEM DAY OR NIGHT AND WILL RECEIVE A REPLY WITHIN 48 HOURS.  WHY NOT TRY IT AND AVOID THE 8AM RUSH. THE SYSTEM WILL FREE UP OUR TELEPHONE LINES AND APPOINTMENTS.   

BUILDING WORK IS IN FULL SWING AT BRECHIN.  WE HAVE HAD ALL OUR WINDOWS REPLACED AND SOME ADMIN/MEETING ROOMS REFRESHED UPSTAIRS. THE NEXT STAGE SEES OUR BOILERS UPDATED, RECEPTION AREA TRANSFORMED, 3 NEW CONSULTING ROOMS CREATED UPSTAIRS, A LIFT INSTALLED AND AN UPGRADE TO THE CORRIDORS AND WAITING ROOM.  EXCITING TIMES AHEAD!

PLEASE BE AWARE EYE PROBLEMS SHOULD BE DISCUSSED WITH AN OPTICIAN IN THE FIRST INSTANCE.  ANY DENTAL ISSUES SHOULD BE DISCUSSED WITH A DENTIST.
